I use acrylic or oil colors on canvases that are usually unframed. This allows me to attach them to rigid surfaces and work on them even with tools other than brushes. I explore the concepts of fragment, transformation and plasticity. The fragment represents the potential for change, evolving towards new variations of reality. Early works from 1994 focus on torn photos, inserted into dynamic background contexts to express the possible transformation of reality. The fragment can launch new life cycles, suggesting innovative perspectives. Some fragments are modified, altering their original function. Research now also extends to nature, studying the plasticity of flowers explored with a continued interest in fragment and detail. In nature, we capture the moment of a crystallized classical aesthetic that nature rejects and follows time punctuating a moment of transformation.
