The Phantom is part of Le Moschine, a series of paintings inspired by old American cartoons from the 1920s and 1930s and by lowbrow and pop surrealist painting. It is a white ghost in the dark, divided in two, lonely and inconsolable. White on black, the only bright color element is its vermilion red heart.
He is probably the most melancholy character in the series, in fact we could say that if he were a tarot card he would be Melancholy.
