About the artwork

The making of Forbes Magazin,
I am very happy to present to you my first collaboration with the Mexican artist Juan Carlos @by.jzee. He spent a few months in Germany and one day he asked me if we could do a painting together so that we could learn a few things from each other. So we decided to brainstorm for ideas. I had just recieved my new Ducktales comic about Moby Dick so we started to look through the Comic and stumbled across Scrooge McDuck1

…Learn more + in a powerful pose and we both decided to go from there. Next we chose a magazine and we used the Forbes magazine because we thought it would suit him perfectly. Then we started to work on the layout idea, the colour palette etc. You can see the progress in this post. At the end we also wanted to have a nice statement such as "Gold is money, everything else is credit". This a quote from J.P. Morgan from the year 1912.
