The “Boudoir Mermaids” series is the result of several attempts to set up an artistic theme intended for my clients wishing to enhance their bodies. As an intimate portrait photographer, I have a deep desire to create and add my personal touch to boudoir photography. Having always loved elements reminiscent of the world of the sea, I leaned on the marine theme of ropes and shells. But as crazy as it sounds, I didn't want to go to the beach for that. The theme proposed to my clients had to be possible in the privacy of a bedroom, on a bed. So I brought the beach to my studio where I was able to shoot with natural, dim light from a window, giving my images an even more intimate feel. Once gathered, these shots tell a story and show the mermaid (transformed into a human woman) in her intimacy.
