Ludwig Schult

Ludwig Schult's career led from graffiti, graphic drawing, carpentry, art studies and film decoration to free painting and object design. The works of the past few years are characterized by an interweaving of graffiti and street art identities with concepts of Abstract Expressionism. Using a variety of technical approaches, the artist opens up the pictorial space in always alternative ways. The different strands are alternately guided into one another and thus create new weightings and starting points. This is always based on a transfer of layering in urban space - the various contrasting surfaces, structures, references, materialities. Ludwig Schult lives and works in Berlin.
