« Exploring beauty in corrosion: my art, a dialogue between time, transformation and resistance »
I am a visual artist who works primarily with mixed media and my artistic practice focuses on corrosion and corroded materials. My style is heavily influenced by industrial aesthetics and I often incorporate elements of rough textures, weathered surfaces and patterns reminiscent of industrial structures into my work. To create these corrosion and degradation effects I use techniques such as paint layering, scraping, sandblasting and acid washing. These techniques add an extra dimension to my abstract expressionist style, creating a unique aesthetic that evokes notions of time, transformation and decadence. My work invites viewers to reflect on the processes of aging and disintegration present in our modern environment. The use of these industrial and corrosive elements brings a particular visual tension to my creations.
Immerse yourself in the magic of 'Glow of Darkness', a contemporary collection that pays tribute to the Masters of Chiaroscuro. Inspired by the tonal richness and guided by the elegance of black, this series is particularly inspired by Soulages' 'outrenoir', a technique I deeply admire. Each work is a dance between light and shadow, exploring the emotional depth that only the intricate play of tones can offer. Let these creations take you on a visual journey where darkness reveals its own luminosity, reflecting the mastery of great artists and the admiration I feel for the incomparable Soulages.
