"Art gave me the courage to face what I feared most—the loss of my unborn daughter. Through painting, I found a way to transform pain into beauty, grief into hope, and silence into a symphony of color." Mido Sabil, a Moroccan artist based in the Netherlands, uses his background in art education and Fine Arts to create a distinctive style blending abstraction and figuration. His work spans painting, printmaking, and digital mediums, characterized by a rich and muted color palette that creates a striking contrast and detailed textures. His Star Stories collection, known for its therapeutic qualities, transforms personal tragedies into powerful narratives of strength, forging a profound emotional connection with his audience.
"Childs of War" is a poignant exhibition that was held in Germany and featured 22 pieces. Each painting depicts young Syrian children, focusing on their innocent and fragile forms juxtaposed against the harsh reality of war. The artworks offer a powerful commentary on how these children were robbed of their childhood, denied even the simple pleasure of play. The portraits serve as a haunting reminder of the brutal impact of war on the most vulnerable members of society.

Our impact on nature is both positive and negative, but our destructive actions often outweigh the good. Deforestation and exploitation of resources for profit have led to the extinction of species and a loss of habitat. This human impact has resulted in global crises such as climate change and pandemics. In my collection of digital paintings titled "Impact," I use a realistic-figurative style to showcase the beauty of animals, while also overlaying a transparent filter to represent the harmful effects of human activity. This overlay symbolizes our choice to either harm or protect nature.
