Michal Botek

My life was influenced by the Czech painter Zdenek Burian, who captivated me in my childhood with his adventurous work and especially the films of Karel Zeman, the master of film tricks. I attended an elementary art school where I acquired technical skills in fine arts. In the early days of my profession I worked as a graphic designer, retoucher and later as an Art Director and photographer, focusing on post-production. I currently teach graphic design and photography as well as post-production at a high school art school. My passion and vision for the future is to focus on freelance work in which I would like to recreate mythological and mystical scenes as painted by the great masters of the past. I think these archetypes are very important nowadays and I am constantly drawn to them. That's why I decided to follow my creative path in conceptual photography and use post-production techniques to create these powerful stories. I started my work with the story of Prometheus.
