My name is Matt Garnett and since 2010 I have been living and working in Prague, Czech Republic. I am originally from the United Kingdom, where I studied Fine Art Studio Practice and Contemporary Critical Theory at Goldsmiths College, London. During this time I was awarded The Goldsmiths College Dean's Award (2000) and the Neville Burston Painting Award (2001). While studying I was taught by artists including The Chapman Brothers, Michael Craig-Martin, Glenn Brown, Fiona Rae, Margerita Gluzberg, and others. My artistic practice currently employs digital media and photography. Having studied as a traditional painter for many years I now use digital technologies in a very non-technological way, treating the digital screen as a canvas on which to experiment with a number of different styles and thematic approaches.
