Katrin Rakus

I am a big fan of Bauhaus art. This can be seen in most of my mainly geometric works. Geometric elements and strong bright colors in a harmonious whole make me and my works recognizable. I am inspired by nature and culture as well as social issues. Another peculiarity is my color synesthesia, which gives me a special connection with colors and shapes. My moods, thoughts and feelings are strongly expressed through the choice of colors in the respective artworks and most of my works are created without static shots but arise intuitively. I like to work with acrylic paints, sometimes combined with pastel or lacquer paints.
