« The obscurity that poetry is criticized for does not come from its own nature, which is to enlighten, but from the very night that it explores... St-J.Perse »
I practice monotype, a technique which consists of painting on a metal plate then printing the representation on paper and in a single copy using a roller press. This technique quickly attracted me for the plastic quality of the printed image: the sensuality of the Hahnemühle paper combined with the work of the press gives both power and softness to the blacks. I like to explore worlds made of night, cold, snow, emptiness and contrasts. The significant share left to white people testifies to the fragility of our nature. I also practice copper engraving and colored pencil drawing. Colored paints are inks on watercolor paper. I tirelessly return to representations of nature, more or less dreamlike. Over the years and series, the titles given are Luxuriance, Edge, Crossing, While the world burns, In golden waters.
