After moving to a remote spot on the west coast of Ireland a few years ago, after spending most of my life in major capital cities, I became enthralled by the natural world. My creations exhibit a vibrant palette and an inclination towards experimentation. By collaging diverse printed textures, images, and forms, and employing a range of techniques, I craft abstract components that retain a hint of realism.

The Meadow and the Hawthorn Tree
A series of original digital works of art, depicting the flora of Ireland, and beyond, with all of its magic. To create this work, I use many different layers of screen-printed and digital textures, historical botanical illustrations, my own, and archival, photos and anything else I can find. I scan cut and combine these digitally to create a portrait of each plant. The combination of many different elements, shapes and textures invites the viewer to see the plant in a new way, whilst keeping the historic folklore alive.
