« I feel free in, through and with my art »
When I take an artistic break for a few days after a long period of painting, I give my creativity time to develop again. At first it is a delicate thought which surrounds me; shows me a little path to my new job. But in a very short time, this idea grew. Colors and materials mix. A sign that the time has come to start a new job. So I choose the size of my canvas, unpack it and set up my work space. I turn on some good music and put something to drink. I still don't know exactly where the path will take me. However, I start and decide purely intuitively if and how I prime my surface. I usually wet it with water and then slowly mix in my chosen base color. I often use a windshield wiper for this. I am surprised by the shapes and structures.
