Ilaria Sperotto

I am a visual artist: painter, ceramist and performer. After graduating in Architecture in Venice, I approached the artistic field more and more assiduously. For several years I attended artists' studios, alternating painting with ceramics. For years I have been experimenting with a type of painting that gives voice to my emotions, following my instinct between figure and matter in an alternation of techniques. I love experimenting and experimenting. The landscapes and imaginary cities that can be admired in these canvases are executed in an abstract-expressionistic style which tends, thanks to the colours, symbolism and surrealism, not to be attributable to a single artistic current: an instinctive and impetuous painting , immediate and expressive with an overlap of pigments and signs given by brushstrokes that release emotions from the material with suggestive intensity.
