Born in Pavia in 1964 after studying geology and oceanographic sciences in San Diego (USA) has lived and worked in Prague since 1991. An artist of "multiple forms", art has become an integral part of this artist's "nomadic" life and lifestyle. Under the influence of Action painting and abstract expressionism (New York school) with which he had dealings during his stay in 1983, Giangi Cornelio concentrated on deepening his artistic work and emotional expression. The individual series of his paintings show an apparent symbiosis between their emotional context and the material as such; the artist underlines the fundamental dynamism and the nature of the harmony of the colors,which by themselves generate abstract compositions.
