My name is Francesca Barretta and I am an Italian artist from Rome, born in 1989. Since I was little I have always drawn and it was completely natural for me to embark on an artistic path. I graduated from the Mario Mafai artistic high school in Rome, specializing in figurative art. Mine is a path that starts from figurative art, portraiture, with representations of female bodies and faces, and not only, characterized by the presence of decorative elements capable of enhancing the aesthetic aspects with the prevalent use of charcoal, chalky pencils, watercolours, acrylics and various mixed techniques, up to a more informal art dictated by the desire to break away from the academic bases and approach a greater spontaneity of gestures as signs or rather "drawings" of the soul. In continuous experimentation, I have always loved the prevalent use of colors until reaching an almost total absence of them, this is because I believe that art changes together with the artist.
