« Welcome to my world and my art, I still love experimenting with techniques and materials after 30 years of work. »
Fabrizio Bellanca was born in Rome in 1968. He attended art high school and obtained a diploma in advertising graphics at IS Grafica Pubblicitaria in Milan in 1991. His first approach to art took place in 1989. Bellanca loves to experiment and use new materials , and introduces resin applied in drops into his works, which gives a very shiny, wet effect that enhances the colors. At the end of the nineties the artist approached action painting, which he created in oil on material surfaces. His works range from figurative to abstract, in a continuous search for new techniques and expressive forms. But the real revolution came in 2004, when Bellanca "discovered" sheet steel using the Dremel, as if it were a brush. Another important material for his research is aluminum where he uses printing colors and hand-rolled glass colors.
