« "The artist should not copy nature but take the elements of nature and create a new element." Paul Gauguin »
After training in art history at Icart and then cultural mediation activities, I turned to painting restoration. It brought me knowledge of color, shades, supports, varnishes.. A desire to create by myself, to let the tool go where it wanted, came to me, and to be free in relation to the work. Mainly abstract, my painting always leaves the eye in charge of choosing what it evokes, or what it brings. It stimulates the imagination, according to the winds, like the other elements, earth, sea, air which inspire it. I mainly use the knife, for the diversity of its touch. Deep blues, often dominant, resonate like a distant but present appeal to serenity. (Rights managed by ADAGP Paris.)
