« "Color has no meaning for intelligence but it has all the power over sensitivity." Eugène Delacroix »
Trained at the Ecole du Louvre, I am particularly interested in modern art. Fascinated by the colors of Henri Matisse and David Hockney, the synthetism of the School of Pont Aven, the contrasts of Edward Hopper and the abstract volumes of Nicolas de Staël, I interpret landscapes or urban scenes using saturated colors and shapes structured by the flat tint. I paint in oil or acrylic on canvas, inspired by photographs that caught my attention.
I designed this series by simplifying the forms to the essential, while keeping a link with reality, (figurative and not abstract) I compose the colored harmony progressively, pushing the contrasts and looking for luminous and rare colored mixtures.

In this series, I seek to translate the movement of the contemporary world. In urban or natural universes, I capture the tension of an action that touches me and immortalizes it . For this, I create characters in action or sometimes in a meditative state and capture the suspended moment of this emotion. I call these tables "snapshots". In general, I start from a strong mental image, I accompany this image with photographic research, preparatory sketches. Acrylic allows me to improvise the composition and the overall setting of the scene (progressive retouching). Then I densify and enrich my painting with the smoothness, transparencies, luminosity and color power of oil paint.
