My name is Diana Izabela Ilie, a Romanian artist, with almost 8 years of painting experience, who lived in Denmark, Spain and is currently based in France. Art has been my refuge, a space where I could communicate my thoughts and emotions freely while escaping my modest, lonely and challenging childhood life. For me, art is an emotional language. My art is very intimate. You experience it both through your eyes and your touch. It makes you feel something. It brings you back to the present moment. It reconnects you to your senses and your true self. My art is an exploration of emotions, both profound and subtle, ranging from joy and serenity to contemplation and introspection. Through the interplay of color and texture, I aim to evoke an intuitive response in the viewer, inviting them to delve into their own emotions and interpretations. My heart guided me to create textured abstract sensorial artworks with a minimalist touch, and I followed it.
